Bundgaard
Established in Denmark in 1904, Bundgaard stands as the oldest children's footwear brand in Scandinavia. The narrative unfolds in Esbjerg, a city nestled in the western part of Denmark, where Thorvald Emil Bundgaard, a visionary individual, acquired a shoe factory, thereby laying the foundation for Bundgaard shoes.
Embodying a profound love for children, Bundgaard shoes are meticulously crafted for the dynamic nature of young ones. Tailored to cater to children who engage in activities such as cycling, running, climbing, jumping, and skipping, these shoes cater to the multifaceted experiences of childhood—laughter, tears, breaking boundaries, and heightened sensory awareness. Initially focused on crafting footwear for adults, the trajectory shifted when Thorkild, a grandfather, recognised the shortage of high-quality, well-fitting shoes for his grandchildren in the 1920s. Consequently, he redirected the company's efforts exclusively towards the production of children's shoes.
